The NBA Playoffs are Getting Exciting

The NBA playoffs have always been enjoyable to watch but it seems as though they are getting more exciting every year that they are on. I know many people that don't watch a single basketball game all year long but they make sure that they watch every game of the playoffs. Why is that?

It's because the teams that are playing are not simply playing for winning this particular year. Many of them are on multi-year streaks and they play all that much harder because they want to keep their streaks alive.

The NBA playoffs became interesting in the 1990s whenever the Chicago Bulls won six straight playoffs. That particular team was very exciting to watch with players such as Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. They truly were a legendary team and it was thoroughly enjoyable to watch them play, regardless of who they were playing. In the prior decade, another legendary team held a similar title.

It was the Lakers and they were headed up by names that you could never forget such as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Magic Johnson.

As the NBA playoffs continue to get more and more interesting, they will no doubt grow in popularity. It's no longer only baseball and football which have their legendary teams. The NBA has earned a fair spot in those rankings as well. I don't know about you, but I'll continue to watch to see what the next year's playoff has in store.
